Microsoft claims that it has dropped support for older platforms in anticipation of the future, so future software may not lag behind existing hardware.

The return of Intel

Intel's success over the past few years has been small, initially losing market leadership to AMD, then Apple announcing the removal of Intel processors from their Mac. But with the new administration and roadmap, Intel is beginning to regain its position. This year Apple has started selling two more powerful versions of that processor in the laptop market. As a result, buyers of powerful workstation laptops are also leaving Windows and leaning towards Mac. Following the success of Macs rich in Arm processors, Microsoft and other manufacturers are also looking at Arm laptops and Arm Windows tablets, which have not been seen in the last eight years. Google's first own processor

Finally, Google has created two smartphones using their design processors. Both the Pixel 7 and 8 Pro phones have their Tensor processor.
